I wish I'd had the foresight to do this with my grand mother from university. I was too young and not so worldly wise. A great post...think about my Grandmothers kitchen now.
I didn't know my one grandmother very well, didn't get much culinary input from her. But I do really wish I'd known, when I was younger, how valuable it would have been to talk more with my mom about the recipes she cooked most, her favorite cooking memories, some of stories behind her favorite dishes. I have her recipes, but would have loved to talk with her more about them.
